The Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association (MFMA) will award five scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each for secondary, advanced, or trade school education for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Candidates must submit completed applications by July 11, 2025. Please review the list of eligible fields of study before beginning the application process. At the end of the form, there will be a request to attach a file up to 10MB. All submitted material must be merged into one pdf file and include the following:
- Copy of the applicant’s high school or college transcript
- 500-word typed essay
- Acceptance letter from a college, university, or trade school indicating specific field of study.
- List of extracurricular activities, academic and non-academic awards, community service contributions, and work experience. (Optional)
All applicants must submit a 500-word typed essay. Any essay significantly shorter or longer than 500 words will not be accepted. Please select ONE of the below topics for essay submission.

Choose a contemporary problem and discuss how wood can be used as part of the solution.

Describe a specific challenge you faced while participating in sports and explain how overcoming that obstacle contributed to your personal growth and resilience.

How will your education empower you to revolutionize the sports flooring industry and/or enhance athlete safety?

How has your experience in a skilled trade shaped your perspective and prepared you to contribute to the wood flooring industry?

How will the specialized knowledge gained from your field of study contribute to innovation and sustainability within the wood flooring industry?
Winners will be notified by September 2, 2025, and awards will be paid directly to their educational institution.
Selected recpients must then submit the following:
- Student ID number, school address for payment, and tuition payment instructions.
- A photo of you at your college, university, or trade school.
- A statement on how winning this scholarship helps your educational goal.
