He held this position from 1969 to 1978.
In 1979, he and his brother Ray started Corullo Forest Products, a small single circle sawmill in Bessemer, Michigan. Dan and his brother would log during the day and run the sawmill at night. In 1984, the Corullos built a larger sawmill in Wakefield, Michigan, and operated the mill until they sold it in 1992. This sawmill is still in operation today as MLC of Wakefield Inc.
While running and selling lumber out of his own sawmill, Dan and his brother sold lumber to AGA (now Connor Sports) from the years of 1980-1988. In 1989, Dan partnered with Tom Abendroth, Gary Stephenson, and Herman Krahn to start a new MFMA hardwood flooring mill called ACS Flooring. The name was soon after changed to Action Floor Systems. Action Floor Systems manufactures MFMA maple quality flooring and ships it all around the world.
ln 1992, Dan started Ottawa Forest Products that produces hardwood slates for pallet material. For the last 10 years, Dan has served on the board of the Hardwood Federation. The Hardwood Federation brings together 28 associations dedicated to promoting and supporting the hardwood industry. They are the voice of the industry in Washington, DC.
ln his personal life, Dan has been married to wife Lyn for 50 years, and they have three children, twins, daughter Jamie and son Cory, and son Ross. For 25 years, Cory and Ross have worked together at Action Floor Systems and will be the next generation promoting MFMA maple flooring.
Dan has also been very active in local and serviceable charities, contributing each month to The Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude's, The Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army, The Covenant House and local community colleges, hospitals, theaters, and animal shelters.

Dan Corullo
Dan graduated from Bessemer High School in 1968 and spent a year at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI, before going to work as a cable TV installer in his hometown of Bessemer, Michigan.
