Being a 2023 recipient of the MFMA scholarship means the world to me. Graduate school is expensive and this award will greatly reduce the financial strain on me and my family as I seek to finish my degree. This will allow me to focus on my studies and achieve my goals without worrying about the large tuition bill. I will also have more time to focus on my extracurricular activities, including trail running and symphonic band, which I really enjoy participating in. I am so grateful to the MFMA Sport Flooring Contractor Members’ Advisory Council for awarding me this amazing scholarship and I will use it well to pursue a future career in natural resources.

It will provide me with the opportunity to focus on my coursework, research, and extracurricular activities, enhancing my overall educational experience.

Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the MFMA Advisory Council for this incredible opportunity and for supporting my educational journey. I am truly honored to be a recipient of the MFMA Scholarship.

I am deeply grateful to the MFMA organization for awarding me a scholarship to support my study abroad semester. This generous scholarship will make a significant difference in my educational journey, allowing me to pursue unique academic and cultural experiences that would have otherwise been out of reach. Studying architecture abroad is a dream come true for me, and this financial assistance will alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with such a program. I am excited to embark on this transformative adventure, and I assure you that I will make the most of this opportunity to broaden my horizons and gain valuable insights. Sophia Cameron
University of Maine

Major: Forestry

I would like to thank the MFMA for their time and consideration during the MFMA 2023-2024 Scholarship selection process. As a first-year Master of Forestry student at the University of Maine, Orono, this scholarship will be a huge help, specifically for purchasing the required materials for my courses so that I can be successful during my first semester.

I look forward to spending the next two years learning all of the necessary skills to enter the workforce as a forester in Pennsylvania, where a large portion of maple lumber is produced. I hope to maintain a relationship with the MFMA throughout my time in school and into my career as a forester.
