The MFMA Scholarship Program encourages educational success in the fields related to the sports flooring business. We appreciate and understand that it takes many trained professionals to make our industry run. The process of turning trees into high-end sports surfaces encompasses numerous skilled hands. And once the sports floors are installed, even more trained professionals use the floors in their careers.  We want to support all levels of this process in their educational and career goals.

MFMA offers five annual scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each for secondary, advanced or trade school education. Applicants are considered based on academic, field of study and written essay responses.

Below are the 2017 – 2018 scholarship recipients:

Joni Polzin
Biology / Exercise Science
University of Wisconsin Green Bay

Thank you for your generosity. By receiving this scholarship I will be able to accomplish my goals at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. I am choosing to major in Human Biology in order to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a pediatric occupational therapist. This scholarship will lift some of the financial burden that my four year degree will bring upon me. By receiving this scholarship I can focus more on my grades and less on trying to cover the cost of four years at UWGB followed by two years of graduate schooling. Thank you again for selecting me as a 2017 recipient of the MFMA scholarship.

Thank you MFMA for a generous scholarship that will greatly help me with my college tuition. My experience playing sports has been so positive because of excellent coaches who have invested in me and I want to give back.
